Travel with Purpose
Travel with Purpose is Hilton’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy to drive responsible travel and tourism globally. Through Travel with Purpose, we seek to create positive environmental and social impact across our operations, supply chain, and communities.
The Hilton Global Foundation was launched in 2019 as part of Hilton’s 100th anniversary celebration, to create a better world to travel and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. The Hilton Global Foundation partners with organizations and people having a positive impact on the communities Hilton serves.
For example, our housekeepers collected soap and bottled amenities from 5,565 hotels and 818,047 hotel rooms worldwide and kept 4.2 million lbs of waste from landfills across the globe. This resulted in producing close to 15 million bars of soap as part of our hospitality recycling programme, providing even more showers and hygiene services to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Graduate programmes
Hilton offers a number of fast-track Graduate Development opportunities. For example, our Elevator Manager or Finesse Finance Development Programme prepares our graduates to reach respectively a General Manager or Finance Director position within 5-8 years of completing the programme.
Apprenticeship programmes
Our Team Members have the opportunity to combine work and study by mixing on-the-job training. Our apprentices are employed by Hilton and carry out a real job, spending about 20% of their time learning, either off the job in the hotel, at a college or a training centre, gaining a national certification at the end of the course. In addition, at Hilton, we pay our apprentices the same salary as our permanent Team Members.
Internships
Hilton offers various local, regional and corporate internships ranging in length from 6 to 12 months. These aim to give talented students – who have an interest in and a passion for hospitality – a kick start to their career while also completing their (under)graduate studies.
