Everyone belongs at Travelodge
Everyone is welcome at Travelodge. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace, providing decent work, with opportunities to learn more and earn more, and where everyone can be their true self and belong.
Our colleagues and customers are the heart of our business and we love the fact our colleagues are from all different backgrounds and cultures, which reflect the diversity of our customers too.
We’re all different, and at Travelodge we celebrate those differences. We embrace diversity of identity, experience and thought, and we expect all our colleagues to behave in a way that promotes inclusivity.
So, no matter your ethnicity, age, gender, sexuality or background, we want you to feel that you can be your true self and belong.
Throughout the year, we take the opportunity to celebrate our diversity and encourage our colleagues to have conversations about the things that matter to them, such as emotional health, LGBTQ+ history, and race and gender equality. We mark this commitment through events like International Women’s Day, Social Mobility Awareness, and Black History Month, while also focusing on Disability inclusion, Eid, and World Menopause Day. This extends to all areas of wellbeing, including emotional, physical, financial, and professional health, and so much more.

Building a career with Travelodge
We actively encourage our people to be the best they can be, in whatever they choose to do. We advertise all our vacancies internally, so you’ll always be able to see opportunities for career development as they arise. And, whether you want to build your career behind the scenes in our Support Office or within our internal Maintenance team or to shine front-of-house in our hotels, you’ll find a full induction, relevant training and continuous opportunities for review and development.
In 2025 over half of all of all hotel management, support office and maintenance roles were filled internally, meaning there are plenty of opportunities if you do want to develop your career.

ASPIRE

Built around a blend of structured learning, practical on-the-job experience, coaching, mentoring, and digital learning resources, ASPIRE is designed to make development both engaging and impactful. To ensure there is something for everyone, ASPIRE is delivered across 5 progressive levels supporting a wide range of roles, career ambitions, and leadership pathways across the business. Whether you’re just starting out or are deep in your career journey, the program combines bespoke in-house training with accredited levels delivered by our specialist training provider. This partnership allows you to earn nationally recognised certificates and professional qualifications while you work, giving you the credentials to back up your experience.
At Travelodge, we believe that when our people grow, our business grows too. ASPIRE is more than a training programme; it is a transparent roadmap for career development, designed to empower colleagues with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed both now and in the future.
Grow your skills to grow your career.

Apprenticeships at Travelodge
