Job purpose
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Food and Beverage and the day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines
- To ensure that the customer promise is delivered and that customers are satisfied within the framework
- Ensure excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Design exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements
- Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures
- Provide a two way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
Entry requirements
Skills
- Previous experience of catering/ hotel employment in a similar role
- Proven experience in stock management, cash control and customer service
- Previous leadership skills to lead and motivate a team
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Competent IT skills in Microsoft Packages
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure managing multiple workloads
- Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria,
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
- Self-motivated with a sense of own initiative
- Flexible approach to role – must be available to work different shifts including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field desirable
- Health and Safety qualifications
